Back in Australia it was South Australia’s turn where we had 3 wonderful Harcourts speakers in Sharon Reeves, Kaylene Garbas and Annie Need.
Sharon told us to surround ourselves with positive people and perhaps consider removing the negative influences in your life.
She also explained that having a “Me Day” was paramount for her continued success in this often tasking profession. Sharon’s “Me Day” is taking a day off to ride her horses.
Annie shared with us that the past 18 months has been a time when she personally has had to dig deep as her niece, who is now 4 years old, has cancer. Annie said that the support from Harcourts, starting at the top from Mike Green and colleagues has been amazing and she is absolutely grateful for that support, and for organizations like Childhood Cancer, Little Heroes, and so many more, who go out of their way to give the children and families the support to cope with this terrible time.
Annie reminded us how fantastic the real estate industry is, if a person has the determination to do what it takes to succeed, there is so much flexibility with how much income you can earn, how many hours you work and the opportunity to create a great business within a business.
We loved hearing Annie say “If I had my time again I wouldn’t change anything …”.
We delighted in hearing Kaylene tell us that the key personality traits to make a successful real estate person quite simply is Passion, Integrity and Consistency - there is no magic bullet!
Kaylene also reminded us that time management is everything. Prioritise and diarise everything. Spend time on money producing activities and very importantly learn to switch off to re-energise. If you do not do this, you will burn out very quickly in the industry and lose your drive and passion.
